Privacy

The short version

We collect information in one place: the inquiry form. We use it to write back to you. We do not sell it, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not track you across the internet. This site sets no cookies.

What we collect

When you send us an inquiry. The form asks for your name, email address, phone number and the city and state of your project. It then asks about the kind of project, its stage, your anticipated investment, and a few open questions about what you are hoping to make. You choose what to answer — every question can be skipped.

Automatically, when you visit. Like any website, ours runs on servers that keep ordinary technical records: your IP address, your browser type, which pages were requested and when. These are kept by our hosting provider as part of running and securing the site. We do not use them to build a profile of you.

We do not collect anything else. There is no account to create, nothing to buy, and no newsletter sign-up.

What we do with it

We use what you send us to reply to your inquiry and to have a conversation about whether we are the right studio for your project. Carmen reads every inquiry personally.

We may contact you by email or by telephone, using the details you gave us, about the inquiry you sent. We will not add you to a marketing list without asking you first.

That is the entire purpose. We do not use your information for advertising, we do not profile you, and we do not make automated decisions about you.

What we don’t do

• We don’t sell your personal information. We never have.
• We don’t share it for advertising, cross-context behavioural or otherwise.
• We don’t set cookies. No analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, none at all.
• We don’t use tracking pixels or analytics.
• We don’t load fonts, scripts or images from third-party networks. The typefaces on this site are served from our own servers, so visiting this page does not tell anyone else that you were here.

Who else touches it

We use a small number of service providers to run the site. They process information on our instructions and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

Other than these, we do not disclose your information to anyone — except where we are legally required to, or where we need to in order to establish or defend a legal claim.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiry submissions for 24 months, and then delete them.

If we end up working together, the information you sent becomes part of our ordinary client records and is kept for as long as our engagement and our professional and tax obligations require.

Server logs are kept by our hosting provider on their own retention schedule.

Reviewing or changing what we hold

We don’t have a self-service portal — we are a small studio. If you would like to see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, write to privacy@aquilointeriors.com and we will take care of it. We may need to check that the request really comes from you before we act on it.

You are welcome to ask us to delete an inquiry at any time, for any reason, without giving one.

Do Not Track

Some browsers can send a “Do Not Track” signal. Because this site does not track visitors across other websites and does not use analytics or advertising services, there is nothing for the signal to switch off, and we do not respond to it differently. If that ever changes, this page will say so.

Other parties collecting information

No other party collects information about your activity on this site over time or across other websites. We have deliberately built it that way.

Children

This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Visitors outside the United States

We are a California studio and this site is intended for visitors in the United States. If you write to us from elsewhere, your information will be processed in the United States, where privacy law is different from the law where you live. If you have a question or a request about your information, write to privacy@aquilointeriors.com and we will do our best to help.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect what you send us. But no website or transmission over the internet is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee it. Please don’t send us anything through this form that you would not be comfortable sending by ordinary email.

Accessibility

If any part of this site does not work for you, write to privacy@aquilointeriors.com and we will do our best to fix it or get you the same information another way.

Governing law

This page, and any dispute about it, is governed by the laws of the State of California, in the courts of Alameda County.

Changes to this page

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. If a change is material, we will make it prominent on the site so it isn’t easy to miss.
