This project is an expression of creativity, culture, and identity, where bold pattern, color, and storytelling come together to create a home that feels deeply personal and unapologetically alive.

Set within a 4,000 square foot ranch-style home rooted in midcentury architecture, the design layers maximalist expression with intention, allowing each space to reflect the spirit and values of the family who lives within it.

Our clients came to us with a clear desire to dream bigger, to move beyond what was expected and create a home that felt entirely their own. That openness allowed us to lean fully into imagination, building a world where every room holds meaning, memory, and a sense of joy.

We approached the home as a series of layered experiences, where pattern, color, and materiality unfold in unexpected ways. Each space carries its own rhythm, with moments of bold expression balanced by thoughtful functionality, creating a home that is as livable as it is visually dynamic.

Art plays a central role throughout. The home is filled with intentional selections that celebrate Black culture, creativity, and legacy, transforming the interiors into a living gallery that honors both personal history and a broader cultural narrative.

The design embraces maximalism not as excess, but as clarity. Every choice is deliberate, every layer considered, resulting in a space that feels vibrant, expressive, and full of life. References to film, music, and cultural icons are woven throughout, creating moments of recognition and delight that feel both nostalgic and forward-looking.

Behind the richness, the home is grounded in function. Designed for a dynamic family life, the layout supports movement, gathering, and growth, proving that beauty and usability can exist seamlessly together.

This home is about more than design. It is about presence, expression, and the freedom to take up space fully. A maximalist vision rooted in culture, creativity, and the power of dreaming big.
