JUNIOR DESIGNER/PROJECT MANAGER

Aquilo means wind. Do you have the passion to give the wind direction and the creativity to make it beautiful? Apply now — if yes.

Aquilo Interiors is an Oakland-based Interior Design Studio that perfects the dreamy, immersive and boundless quality of evocative art. We are a high-energy, fast-paced studio that focuses on residential and hospitality design. We are currently searching for an innovative, vibrant, zealous and hairsplitting staff designer to join our team.

Who You Are:

The above statement could have been “who we want”, but we don’t want you to change for us. We need your raw, unfettered, passionate, creative persona!

—an ingenious creative with unquenchable zeal for interior design.

—a soulful Maximalist with a striking love for blending styles, layering patterns and pulling the hat out of the rabbit (ha!); a magician with an eye for the unexpected.

—a fireball, with direction, willing to start pressuring for the goal from the moment the whistle blows until there’s the best result; a go-getter with an innate HUSTLING ability and a self-trusting originator that takes the initiative for others to follow.

—an organized desk keeper; organization, thoughtfulness, and analyticity are strong points; one who takes a thorough, step-by-step approach to tasks and is never in a hurry to get over projects.

—a smart communicator, possessing the uncanny ability to deduce the most from the client’s imaginations; our very own Dominick Cobb to extract ideas from the clientele’s mind; one who speaks to others most clearly with the fewest words.

—a professional to the core; someone who takes the brush to the canvas even if in the middle of the night, a creative willing to burn the midnight candle when necessary.

—an expert with unmatched technical skill sets; able to mesmerize the blind with amazing mastery of CAD, Photoshop, SketchUp, 3D Modeling, & Hand-sketching.

—a non-narcissist; one who realizes that ego does not matter, only results do; a person willing to learn and grow; account for their mistakes and make quick amends whenever they do wrong. One who understands and shows that they are human.
